This exciting ATV adventure is the perfect way to get a true taste of Icelandic nature. Great for the whole family, this quad bike experience offers breathtaking mountain views and guaranteed fun. And all only 15 minutes from downtown Reykjavik.
Your day will begin with picking you up from a bus stop downtown if you have chosen pick-up. On arriving at our basecamp we will suit you up and gear you for the weather. You will be provided with everything you need, please make sure to wear shoes according to the weather condition.
Most of our guests are beginners, so we know how to provide an experience that’s as safe as it is fun. Our expert guides will make sure you have all the safety instructions you need before you start the tour. The quad bikes are fully automatic and super easy to use – you just hit the throttle and go!
Your quad bike tour takes you on a route along the lovely Lake Hafravatn, and a variety of terrains to have fun on. Then it’s onwards and upwards as you bike to the top of Hafrafell mountain – the high point of your journey. From there you should be able to see the Hengill mountain range, Iceland’s third most active volcanic system, together with Hellisheiði, the geothermal power plant for the capital area. A spectacular view over Faxaflói bay and the whole capital region, Bláfjöll mountain range and Esja, Reykjavik’s house mountain, is waiting for you. ATV tracks are dependent on weather and trail conditions.

Pick-up:
Hotel pickups are not included in the price of the tour. We do offer a pickup service, but you are also very welcome to make your own way to our Safari Quads Base Camp. Please note that we offer pick-up service from authorized pickup points in the Reykjavik downtown area. We can unfortunately not offer pick-up service from Airbnb or private apartments, nor Keflavik Airport for our tours. If your pick-up location is not on our pick-up list in the booking form then we kindly ask you to locate the closest pick-up point to your accommodation. It might take up to 30 min for our guides to reach your pick-up point, so please wait patiently for us to arrive. As much as possible be prepared and ready to go.

Best way to get to our base camp is to type in Safari Quads – Lambhagavegur in google maps.

You need to be 15 minutes prior to departure time. If our guide is not there please give him 10 minutes to arrive. He might be coming from pick ups.

Booking:
All drivers need to have a valid driver’s license and a minimum age of 17 years old. Our day tours are very popular and we have many days when all the available seats are booked out. Please book your tour early to avoid disappointment. You can book this tour online using the booking form or just call our office. We typically respond to phone calls from 8:00 AM to 17:00 PM GMT – if you do not reach us, please send an email and we will reply to your message as soon as possible.
Prices:
All prices are per person. We accept payment by major credit and debit cards with no additional fees. Gratuities are not included.
Tour itinerary changes:
At all times your safety is our first priority. You can expect any kind of weather in Iceland. For this reason, the tour itinerary may be subject to change the sights without notice or the tour might be canceled due to weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the timing changes, we will need your valid mobile phone number to contact you and inform you of the time change. Please don’t forget to fill out your phone number on the booking form. If the tour is canceled, you can choose to receive a full refund or to reschedule your tour for another day. We make every effort to avoid any such changes wherever possible.
What to bring:
We recommend you bring warm first and/or mid-layer, e.g. a warm sweater. Bring your personal daily medications if required. It is a good idea for you to bring extra clothing on this tour, as you might get wet!

Please let us know of any allergies or medical conditions that you may require assistance with.

Payment and cancelation:
Full payment is required at time of booking to secure your place. We require 24 hrs notice of cancellation for a refund. Any cancellation made within less than 24 hours prior to departure will be fully charged.
