Welcome to Iceland
You will be greeted at the arrival gate by a person holding a sign with your name on it. Together, you will walk a short distance to the designated luxury vehicle. Get comfortable for the ride to your accommodation, which is about 2 hours.
Your accommodation will be a premium luxury lodge close to famous natural attractions. It is all-inclusive, with a private chef, wait staff, an onsite geothermal spa indoors and out, and a world of outdoor opportunities. Guests can count on discretion, quality service, and precious privacy, as the lodge is exclusively reserved for one travel party at a time.
Your first day is about arriving at your destination and acclimatizing; stretch your legs and breath in the crisp Icelandic air. Have a drink, take a walk, soak in the hot tub, or nap - as you please.
After you have consumed your rich and delicious breakfast, your private guide will invite you for a scenic drive with some stops at natural attractions. Then you'll head to Iceland's second-largest glacier to conquer it on a snowmobile!
The tour route you'll travel is called the Golden Circle and features some of the crown jewels of Iceland’s natural gems.
Thingvellir National Park is full of fascinating geological formations and scenic landscapes and is home to the gap between the Eurasian and North American continental plates, where you'll get the chance to walk if you wish. The fissure valley is also steeped in history – it’s the founding site of one of the world’s oldest parliament, founded on these very rocks in 930 AD.
Next is the epic Geysir Geothermal Area, where bubbling hot water breaks the ground, steam rises in the air, and a geyser sends a powerful jet of hot water into the air every five to ten minutes.
Another incredible attraction in the area is the mighty Gullfoss Waterfall, where the water cascades over two levels to enter a rugged scenic gorge.
Other stops can be added along the way, and your private guide will tell you everything you want to know about the region and its natural rights.
One of the most exciting activities you can do in Iceland is definitely snowmobiling! Driving these fierce and vigorous beasts on top of a glacier, surrounded only by mountains and snow, is certainly something no one can ever forget about. Enjoy!
Late afternoon, you'll head out again with a private guide to an extreme adventure, a dirt bike ride across the South-Central Highlands.
This tour takes the road less traveled to some of Iceland’s most famous sights and beyond. You'll take extreme highland routes and tracks past Geysir, geothermal pools, volcanos, and some of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls. You will get close to Iceland’s largest glaciers, the monochrome lava desert landscapes.
Stretching in the heart of Þingvellir National Park, Silfra fissure is an otherworldly location: a gap in the Earth’s surface, a tectonic plate rift between Europe and North America. This narrow rift is filled with meltwater from one of Iceland’s most enormous glaciers, Langjökull.
It takes around a century for the meltwater to travel 30 miles via a lava field to fill up the fissure. The lava rock is very porous and acts like the finest filter on Earth; the water is, therefore, incredibly pure. The underwater visibility in Silfra is measured to be up to 100m (328 ft). Snorkeling and diving here are certainly unique and exciting! No wonder Silfra is frequently rated as one of the world’s top ten dive sites.
Snorkelers and divers are equipped with special suits that keep them warm and comfortable, and a professional diving guide ensures their safety during the whole experience. The crystal-clear water in the deep fissure gives you the impression of being weightless as you float down with the lazy current.
Upon exiting the water, you’ll be invited to warm up with hot chocolate with your friendly guide.
After the chilly and adrenalin-filled experience, you'll hit the road again and travel to a geothermal spa for deep relaxation and warm-up. The Laugarvatn Fontana Spa is built on the shore of a lake in beautiful natural scenery. The Spa invites you to soak in various hot tubs and steam baths naturally heated by hot springs.
Enjoy traditional rye bread baked in hot springs before the return to your accommodation.
After an early breakfast, your private guide will wait for you to take you on your next adrenaline ride.
There is a glorious canyon under the Gullfoss waterfall that has everything you need for a fun river rafting experience. The Hvítá, the "White" river, originates from Langjökull glacier and has a balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline-pumping waves and rapids.
On this rafting journey, you will raft down seven kilometers (4.3 mi), enjoying a view you can only experience while floating downstream in a boat. You will stop at Brúarhlöð canyon, where the true thrill-seekers can cliff jump into the river below if the conditions allow.
You will be outfitted in a wetsuit to make the experience enjoyable and, of course, a life jacket to keep you afloat. Hvítá River is a class 2 river, meaning there is plenty of fun and excitement, but no previous rafting experience is required. This rafting trip is for everyone that fancies a little adventure and is suitable for most ages and abilities.
Afterward, you can warm up in the hot tubs and sauna at the river rafting base camp. We recommend trying delicious BBQ lamb or a hamburger to refill your energy tanks!
On the same day, you'll join an unforgettable ATV tour on the beautiful Black Sand Beach by Þorlákshöfn. This is a true off-the-beaten-path location, and you won't see many tourists here.
Shooting across a Black Sand Beach and between grass-covered dunes on an ATV/Quad bike is one of the best ways to experience the magnificent landscape of our beautiful country.
If you still have some energy left, you can finish your day with an epic hike to a geothermal river and take a relaxing soak in the middle of the wilderness! There are no showers- or changing facilities in the area, so you better not be too timid!
Vestmannaeyjar - The Westman Islands are an archipelago of 18 islands and about 30 skerries sand rock pillars located off the mainland’s south coast. The islands were formed by submarine volcanic eruptions along a 30-km-long fissure lying southwest to northeast. The largest island is Heimaey, 13.4 km2. Most of the islands have steep sea cliffs and are well-vegetated.
The latest eruption on Heimay began on 23rd January 1973, just before two o´clock in the morning, when a fissure opened only 300-400 meters from the houses. Fortunately, the weather had been stormy the day before, and most of the island´s fleet of 60-70 fishing boats had stayed in the harbor. The boats quickly ferried the people to safety on the mainland. The eruption lasted six months, and a large part of the town was buried under the lava.
You'll get to explore the island in and out by walking and from a RIB Boat. You will see the famous elephant rock, a lot of wildlife, nature, islands and exciting sea caves. Spotting seals and whales on this tour are not uncommon!
Westman Islands, due to their remoteness, are Iceland's most underrated hidden gem. Nature is breathtaking, everything looks miniature and giant at the same time, and the scenery is like in a fairy tale. On a clear day, you can see Iceland's largest glaciers at once from the top of the volcano.
On your sixth day, you'll explore Icelander's favorite site: Thorsmörk, the valley of Thór. Named after the thunder god, Thor – Thorsmörk is certainly one of the most beautiful places in Iceland. No wonder the most adventurous locals regularly choose it as their summer holiday destination.
You can try things you have never done before by driving a sturdy off-road buggy. You'll ford rivers, drive along rough dirt trails, and maneuver the Buggy up and down steep hills in exceptional natural settings.
Thorsmork is surrounded by glaciers on three sides, with low birch woods and a desert-like landscape creating an exciting contrast. Moss-grown cliffs and eroded glacial landscape will make you feel like you are in a fairy tale land!
After the adventures, it's time to relax and recharge. Your next destination is the world-famous Blue Lagoon.
The Blue Lagoon Retreat is a separate area in the Blue Lagoon where there are fewer guests and more space in advanced, luxurious settings. Leave the world behind and enter a timeless realm of relaxation, rejuvenation, and exploration. For the duration of your stay, you will have a host who will be your guide and your attendant—instilling in you a sense of belonging: you are at home here, although here is unfamiliar, otherworldly, and likely a place you’ve never been.
Finish your day with a gourmet dinner at the Lava restaurant
On your last adventure day before returning home, you'll get on bikes and ride off the beaten track, accompanied by a private guide. Away from crowds, there are plenty of photogenic spots to stop and enjoy nature. Descending trails by mossy volcanos, passing Geothermal rivers.
The trails take us through a remote, rugged green valley. The 5-10 km mix of natural trails and doubletracks showcase jagged volcanic formations and moss-covered lava rocks. We land on a scenic spot where the riding starts with a briefing and intro on mountain biking. Our guides tailor each trip to clients’ abilities so everyone can enjoy this beautiful area on a mountain or fat bike.
Next is the unique adventure of your whole Icelandic trip. You'll bike to a dormant volcano and descent into its magma chamber - something that can happen in Iceland alone on the whole of Earth!
During your slow descent, the beauty of the magma chamber will become instantly apparent. Expect to see smooth walls and bizarre formations in many colors: yellows, blues, reds, oranges, and violets. They are so vibrant that it’s hard to believe they could be natural.
It is not just the beauty of the space that will amaze you; it is also its size. To give some perspective on the size of the magma chamber, enormous monuments such as Reykjavík’s iconic Hallgrímskirkja church or the Statue of Liberty could easily fit inside it.
What a perfect closure for your vacation!
The last day is about saying goodbye and returning home. Your driver will pick you up at your hotel and transport you directly to the airport.
