Experience the wildlife and nature adventure of a lifetime on this small group - personal whale watching tour. The custom made RIB boats allow you to get closer to the whales and puffins than any boats can offer. On this fun tour, the fast, stable and safe boats also allow you to cover more area as you search for the wildlife, thus increasing your chances of spotting whales, dolphins, and bird-life.
This great whale watching tour starts from the Old Harbour of Reykjavík and during the puffin season (early May to the end of August) we also visit the puffins in their natural habitat. Next, we head out in search of the whales. There are very few things that will beat the experience of seeing the whales and dolphins as up close as you can at sea level from our RIB boats.
Our whale watching boats are equipped with high-performance suspension seats. These shock absorbing seats increase safety and comfort and reduce the risk of injuries. So you can comfortably & securely enjoy your whale watching adventure out on the North Atlantic waters.
After the whale safari, we travel back to Reykjavík, where we will take a ride along the city’s shoreline, experiencing a unique panoramic view of Reykjavík from the sea (perfect for photos).
Our boats will take you past the Sun Voyager sculpture and the harbor side of Iceland’s most famous building, the glittering Harpa Concert Hall.

Limitations:
You need to be able to stand in your seat (minimum height of 145 cm.) and fit into one of our overalls to participate (maximum size 3XL).
Booking:
Our day tours are very popular and we have many days when all the available seats are booked out. Please book your tour early to avoid disappointment. You can book this tour online using the booking form or just call our office. We typically respond to phone calls from 8:00 AM to 17:00 PM GMT – if you do not reach us, please send an email and we will reply to your message as soon as possible.

If we are unlucky and can’t seem to find whales or dolphins on the RIB tour you can try again for free on the Classic Whale Watching on the larger boats either in Reykjavík or in Akureyri.

We accept payment by major credit and debit cards with no additional fees.
Tour itinerary changes:
At all times your safety is our first priority. You can expect any kind of weather in Iceland. For this reason, the tour itinerary may be subject to change the sights without notice or the tour might be canceled due to weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the timing changes, we will need your valid mobile phone number to contact you and inform you of the time change. Please don’t forget to fill out your phone number on the booking form. If the tour is canceled, you can choose to receive a full refund or to reschedule your tour for another day. We make every effort to avoid any such changes wherever possible.
What to bring:
Since the weather is unpredictable, always bring comfortable outdoor clothes, warm layers, with waterproof and windproof outer-layers. Jeans are not suitable clothing; a waterproof jacket and shoes and a warm sweater are highly recommended. It’s best to wear waterproof boots. Bring some snack or packed lunch. Bring your personal daily medications if required.
Medical conditions:
This tour may not be suitable for seniors (65+ yrs), pregnant women or those with a history of heart or back problems Participants will need to sign a waiver upon arrival in order to join the tour. Please let us know of any allergies or medical conditions that you may require assistance with.
