Northern lights featured

Day 1

Private care will pick you up at KEF international airport and take you to your hotel in Reykjavik. In the evening we will pick you up for your langoustine dinner in a charming restaurant, half an hour drive outside Reykjavik. Hopefully we will spot the northern lights!

Day 2

Today we head to the Golden circle, on a private guided tour. Add an exciting snowmobile tour by Langjokull glacier, to make this an action filled day. To warm up your bodies, after the glacier ride, a stop at the Secret lagoon is the perfect addition. On the way to Reykjavik, you will stop for a lovely dinner at a local farm.

Day 3

Today you go home, but not until the afternoon! Hop on a morning departure of a buggy tour and end your trip to Iceland with a blast. A private car will take you to the airport after your check out.

Northern lights & glacier

Day 1

A private car will pick you up at KEF airport and drop you off at your hotel. Your first day in Iceland is a relaxing day in the city. Add a spa visit or a short activity to spice up your day.

Day 2

Your private guide will pick you up at your hotel, and take you through the Golden circle route. Add activities (buggy tour, snowmobiling, lava cave, horseback riding) to kick the day into higher gear, or visit a spa en route. Destination for the night is the South coast.

Day 3

Today you will explore the south coast, but the main objective of today is to witness the magic of Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. Enjoy a quiet dinner in a charming fishing village and hunt for the northern lights in the evening.

Day 4

Head back towards Reykjavik, exploring the south coast along the way. Waterfalls, black beaches and stunning scenery rule the day. Add activities (glacier walk, horseback riding, lava cave) to add some color to the day.

Day 5

Spend the day in the city, exploring museums and galleries, visiting the geothermal pools and enjoying a short, half day activity (buggy tour, horseback riding, quad biking, Blue lagoon).

Day 6

Your private guide picks you up again, but today you will explore the wonders of Snaefellsnes peninsula. Glacial vistas, stunning cliffs and majestic scenery rule the land in Snaefellsnes. Return to Reykjavik at the end of the day.

Day 7

Departure day. If your flight is in the afternoon, this is the perfect opportunity to explore Reykjanes peninsula with your private guide and visit the Blue lagoon (if you haven’t already).

Day 1

Your private guide will pick you up at your hotel in a specially modified super jeep, venturing into the highlands. The destination of today is Landmannalaugar geothermal area – don’t forget your swimming gear, as this is your unique opportunity to take a dip in a fully natural geothermal pool! After a soak in the pool, we continue on through Fjallabak nature reserve. The land is mountainous, sculptured by volcanoes and geothermal activity, covered by lava and sand, rivers and lakes. Truly magnificent!

Overnight in a mountain hut in the area.

Day 2

Today, we head to Thorsmork valley, through the sandy plains of Maelifellssandur. Thorsmork is a nature cove, surrounded by glaciers on three sides. To get there, we must ford several rivers and streams, as we drive through the diverse landscape. After a visit to Thorsmork, we head back to Reykjavik for the night.

Day 1

Your private guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Reykjavik, to kick of this epic two week journey around Iceland. The first day includes the Golden circle route and highland roads. Destination for the evening is Borgarfjordur, west Iceland.

Day 2

On this day, we head to the Snaefellsnes peninsula for a full day of exploration. Snaefellsnes is the setting of novels and movies such as Journey to the center of the earth and the area will not leave you disappointed. Volcanic craters, lava caves and stunning bird cliffs are on the agenda for today. Overnight in Snaefellsnes.

Day 3

Today we travel by boat over to the westernmost part of Iceland; The Westfjords. On the way over Breidafjordur bay, the ferry stops at the island of Flatey, where you can spend a quiet day of exploration. Once you reach the westfjords, our destination is Latrabjarg (the very westernmost part of Iceland, and Europe) where you can see puffins and other local birds all over (mid may-mid august). Overnight near Latrabjarg or Patreksfjordur.

Days 4 & 5

We travel the shore of many scenic fjords, beautiful beaches and charming fishing villages, until we reach the majestic fjord Arnarfjordur. At the bottom of the fjord, we come across the unique waterfall Dynjandi, with its seven levels of plunging water. Overnight in the westfjords.

Day 6

Today we are north bound, exploring the country, charming churches and the Icelandic horse en route. Overnight in the second largest town in Iceland, the capital of the north, Akureyri

Days 7 & 8

We explore the north in the next two days, sights including Godafoss waterfall, lake Myvatn and Dimmuborgir, craters of Hverfjall and the highlands near Askja and Viti. Take a dip in the Nature baths at Myvatn and venture inland for highland exploration.

Day 9

Today we travel to Dettifoss, Europe’s most powerful waterfall, in Vatnjokull national park. From there we head towards the eastfjords, with their looming mountains and winding roads. Overnight in the Eastfjords.

Day 10

We continue along the eastfjords, with glacial vistas and stunning coastline. We visit Skaftafell national park and Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon en route. Overnight near Skaftafell.

Day 11

Today we explore what we have left of Skaftafell national park, before heading along the south coast. The itinerary includes stunning waterfalls, black sand beaches and mountainous cliffs. Overnight on the south coast.

Day 12

Today we head back inland, to explore Thorsmork nature reserve. Thorsmork is surrounded by glaciers on three sides, and you must cross several rivers and streams to reach it. From there we head further inland, through Fjallabak. Overnight in the area.

Day 13

Destination of today is Landmannalaugar geothermal area, where we will enjoy hikes in the magical, colorful hills. This is your unique opportunity to soak in a fully natural geothermal pool, so make sure you have your swim gear handy.

Day 14

Today, we head back towards Reykjavik, to tie a neat bow around this epic journey around Iceland!
