With its vibrantly colored valleys and abundance of huge surrounding mountains, it is sure to deliver an unforgettable experience.
Once in a lifetime experience for all hikers and nature enthusiasts! The Fimmvorduhals pass from Skogar to Thorsmork is one of Iceland’s most popular hiking tours. The trail takes us up from Skogar, along Skoga River and its many waterfalls and up between the two glaciers, Eyjafjallajokull and Myrdalsjokull. There we will discover the recently formed lava and the new craters, Magni and Módi. The fresh lava is still steaming under the surface and the heat of the lava can still be felt.
This is a tour that combines two of Iceland’s natural highlights; hot springs and glaciers. This day tour starts at Hengill geothermal area, located at the foot of an old volcanic cone. From there you will take an easy hike past a series of beautiful hot springs, to Reykjadalur valley where you can enjoy a nature bath in a beautiful warm stream. Once we are done with the warm, it is time for the cold as we go for a lovely glacier walk on Solheimajokull glacier.
This is the perfect tour for those who wish to combine a little bit of riding, with a little bit of hiking. The tour starts at our farm, Vellir, and takes you through amazing Icelandic nature. A glacier walk is a great way to experience Icelandic nature and a tour to Solheimajokull glacier tongue is an ideal way to spend the day. On the two-hour drive from Reykjavik, you will pass right under the famous Eyjafjallajokull volcano that caused so much trouble in the spring of 2010. Just east of the volcano lies Solheimajokull, an outlet glacier from Myrdalsjokull, Iceland’s fourth-largest glacier. There, we will go on a safe and easy glacier walk on crampons up onto the ice field. One of the best hiking tours to do on a glacier in Iceland.
Strandir is one of Iceland’s best kept secrets. The peaceful fjords, magnificent mountains, sun reflecting on the sea and mysterious fog touching the mountain tops, just to remind you there is magic in the air. Together we will go on short or long hikes, visit deserted houses, bathe in hot pools and enjoy a culinary experience.
The Laugavegur trek from Landmannalaugar to Thorsmork is the most popular hiking tours through the south Icelandic highlands; one of the last unspoiled wilderness areas in Europe. On this hike guests can expect to experience vibrant rhyolite mountains, enormous and rugged glaciers, hot springs, unique rivers, serene lakes, sharp ridges, impressive waterfalls, deep canyons and panoramic views of the North Atlantic Ocean.
