Day 1

Start off from the town of Selfoss, on the south coast. Ride past Nesjavellir geothermal power station, through Thingvellir national park, where the Icelandic parliament was first assembled in 930 AD. From there, head over to Skjaldbreidur lava field, over to Geysir hot springs and Gullfoss waterfall. What better way to experience the Golden circle route!?

Day 2

Ride north Kjolur mountain road, F35, alongside the stunning Langjokull glacier and watch the scenery unfold. Glaciers, high-energy steam, arctic vegetation and unique color combinations. We will ride all the way to Hveravellir hot springs, where we will bathe in a natural geothermal pool and unwind, soaking our stiff muscles.

Day 3

Today we drive through the stunning Fjallabak nature reserve. It is like driving through a Tolkien fantasy, as we make our way to Landmannalaugar, for another geothermal bath. From there, the fantasy continues as we drive through Hrafntinnusker, home of the obsidian rock. Crossing rivers and riding through canyons make this the perfect finale of an amazing 3-day trip.

Day 2

We will spend the day in Fjallabak nature reserve, driving through fantasy-like landscapes. The hot bathing-pools and colorful hills at Landmannalaugar, glacier vistas, Eldgjá canyon and gushing rivers put their mark on today.

Day 3

We head further east, towards Laki craters, which were formed in one of the most historical eruptions the world has ever witnessed. In 1783, lava flowed across the flat land, destroying a large number of farms and homesteads. The ash rose high into the air, causing crops to fail as far south as France and the atmospheric temperature of the whole planet to drop some degrees.

Day 4

On our last day we will ride along the stunning south coast of Iceland. Reynisdrangar basalt stacks, Reynisfjara black sand beach and waterfalls Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss will add color to our day.
